Part of the assembly art project will include working with profile/side view portraits and silhouettes. If you would like to participate:

Please send a profile/side view picture of your face to McConnell.tara83@gmail.com.
Jpeg pictures taken with a phone are just fine.
Please include your first and last name
You may also submit photos of loved ones, friends, or people who cannot join the assembly but are with us in spirit.

Assembly Art Project (offsite & onsite options)

At the 2026 Rocky Mountain Synod Assembly—“Vida en Cristo / Life in Christ,” April 23–25, 2026, at Bethany Lutheran Church (Cherry Hills Village/Denver)—participants will be invited into a hands-on, intergenerational art experience: a visual installation built from individual compiled of individual contributions that come together as a shared witness of our life in Christ.

Guided by Denver-based community and participatory artist Tara McConnell, assembly participants will be able to reflect on faith and contribute a piece to the whole—many members, one body—creating something accessible, meaningful, and unmistakably communal.
