Student
Sense of Call: Amanda has been attending the church since she was 6 years old and is currently part of the OHANA youth group. She has strong Lutheran roots. She went through confirmation with the church and comes from a family who is also Lutheran. Amanda never fails to take initiative where it is needed. She is always willing to serve whether it be communion, ushering, or assisting with fundraisers for the youth group. Her ability to show up and be present reveals how faithful of a servant that she is and she is always willing to learn more about how to grow in her faith and in her community. The spirit guides her and it is demonstrated with the way she carries herself and serves others.
Skills/Experiences: Amanda is a strong reader and loves to lector. She is currently a student taking high-level courses and is an exceptional student. Amanda exemplifies strong leadership skills in the church and has goals to be in the medical field. She is a bilingual young Mexican-American who would be able to provide a fresh perspective to council that would be helpful in the growth of the synod.
Service Activities: Amanda is active in the church and in the OHANA youth group.
